Weill Cornell Medical College
Recognition Sculpture
The Challenge
The Weill Cornell Medical College wanted a unique and timeless way to honor several long-standing benefactors as well as many others for their generous gifts that aided in the construction of the Weill Greenberg Center.
Customer Solution
A one-of-a-kind sculpture. The massive base is a stainless steel grid and was mounted to the ceiling with hundreds of stainless steel cables. Woven on the stainless steel cable is approximately 10,000 pieces of diachronic glass, which reflect a multitude of colors throughout the multi-floor facility. VGS created a distinctive work of art that showcased the spirit of giving and uniquely recognized Weill Cornell’s donors for their generosity.
