Northern Arizona University
Sustainable Campus Identity and Wayfinding
The Challenge
In the nation’s first dark sky city, create and install an eco-sensitive campusidentity and navigational system for Northern Arizona University (NAU) located in Flagstaff, Arizona.
Customer Solution
Partnering with New York based Two Twelve Associates; VGS fabricated and installed the non-evasive campus wayfinding program. Utilizing sustainable materials like durable porcelain, which minimizes repairs and replacements, and local quarry sand stone, along with mechanical hardware instead of adhesives, VGS manufactured this sustainable signage program with minimal impact to the high desert environment.
For years to come, NAU students and visitors can rely on and enjoy a sustainable, campus wayfinding system which uses eco-friendly materials and integrates naturally with the environment.
