The Challenge

The Maritime Aquarium inspires people of all ages to appreciate Long Island Sound and to protect it for future generations. Their goal is to create and maintain a vibrant and entertaining learning environment, through living exhibits, marine science, and environmental education. They were looking for donor recognition signage that would blend into the existing décor and overall theme.

Customer Solution

VGS, and Studio D, designed and manufactured a custom donor wall, as well as individual donor recognition plaques for various rooms in the facility. The donor wall was designed to capture the sights and colors found throughout the aquarium. The panels are changeable so new donor names can be easily added.

Dimensional lettering above the donor wall calls attention to tiered donors who have supported the aquarium. Frosted individual donor plaques – with carved, in-filled type – designate rooms sponsored by special donors.
