In preparation for holiday season, Sesame Street and FAO Schwarz wanted to partner to create an interactive Monster Factory shop within the world-famous Rockefeller Center location.

FAO wanted to create a bright, vibrant shop featuring an abundance of dimensional features and layers. The focus was on creating an attractive, bright and fun environment where kids could build their own muppet/monster. VGS produced printed panels for the fixture backs, sides and fronts of the fixtures, acrylic bins for accessories, a logo panel with a layered dimensional Elmo logo and a 4-foot multi-layer hanging sign featuring the Monster Factory logo as well. There are also white acrylic platform risers, a printed “menu” style sign for the column, and colored tile inserts for FAO’s seats where kids can sit and make their own Monster. Sesame Street logos appear on the table front and fixture top as well, all produced and installed by VGS.

The shop is meant to be a permanent application and was executed in the span of 2 – 3 weeks from approved design. VGS fabricated all the elements mentioned above, as well as managed installation.
