A “pioneer in comfort” since 1931, Serta/Simmons was looking to develop a new sleep center showroom. Spread across the United States, these licensed retail sleep centers would need a modern, yet classic, design with a sense of Americana. To effectively accommodate stores of various sizes, the entire display system would also need to be as flexible and modular as possible. 

VGS|Studio D designed and fabricated a concept that provides exceptional style and flexibility. The ingenious design of the display system incorporates multiple sizes of components that can be used in a variety of combinations. From shelving displays, and retail shopping elements, to the entry counter and front cash wrap, the modularity of this system is astounding. The headboards are also modular and can be single-faced or double-faced, depending on the layout of the mattress showroom. Because our system is so incredibly flexible, showrooms can be designed in minutes, using tools to determine whether the space can support 10-30 mattress SKU’s and applicable accessories such as pillows, sleep aids, mattress covers, etc. Red, white and blue finishes, as well as canvas-wrapped American lifestyle imagery compliment the overall environment for a truly unique retail experience.
